4.2 - My Contribution to the Music Video Story Board (Draft Version)

Above is a picture of my draft unfinished version of my story board of my scene in the music video, from the song 'Girls just wanna have fun'. I realised that though many scenes were real life, using real people, not animtion etc, all 4 of our storyboards consisted of quite a lot of animation used for signs, little pop ups etc. I feel that these kind of small, low key animations are accomplish-able, taking into account the time limit that we're set. However I think that the larger scale animations that some of us have put in, in certain scenes will not be able to be finished and achieved, for two main reasons. 1 - time is a factor that we have little of at the moment, and 2 - we do not have enough skills to create huge feature animations. But we have had a couple of lessons where a professional animation artist came into our class and taught us how to create animation and make a still image move, in a certain way, on programs such as 'Flash' etc. This was a very helpful lesson to our class as many of them are using animation in their videos. But I still feel we shouldn't be over ambitious as we aren't as skilled as professionals.
