4.1 - MovieStorm (Movie-Making Software)

We attended a short workshop about this product where we were introduced to all the features and functions of 'MovieStorm'. This software is a new way for students, teachers and just anyone in the world to create an Animation movie of their own, and later show it or even sell it to audiences. It enables everyone who may be aspiring to be a future filmmakers.

4.2 Copyright Law

The web definition I found for 'Copyright' is "The exclusive legal right, given to an originator or an assignee to print, publish, perform, film, or record literary, artistic, or musical material, and to authorize others to do the same". This was quoted from the website 'Google Dictionary'.

Our group S.T.A.Rz were not bound by copyright laws because we picked Cyndi Lauper's 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' for our Music Video song. This song was released in 1983, and as it is a vintage song, and it has been nearly 18 years since it was released, we are able to use it for educational purposes, without going against any copyright laws by the artist etc.

4.3.2 Animation Practice 2 - Shape Tweening

This was also an example of the Animation Practice we did on the day the guest Animator Trevor Jarvis came in to give us lessons. Here we learn how to move and tween various shapes of different sizes, colors and forms, adding character to our work. Again, we didn't use this in the actual music video because it was just us playing around with tools and not fully developed animation. It was also a individual contribution.

4.3.2 Animation Practice - Motion Tweening

An example of the animation practice we did on the program 'Flash', when our guest animator  Trevor Jarvis came in to give us special lessons. This was an individual contribution, but we did not add it into the music video as this was a very basic stage where we were just learning how to use the different tools etc and it was as developed or seriously done -Just messing around.

4.3.1 Live Type Text for Music Video

This is the word animation that I created individually on the program 'Live Type', it's for the word 'prsents' and will be used as part of the beginning Credits of our Music Video for 'Girls' Just Wanna Have Fun'.
