Basic Camera Tutorial: Introduction to Camera
The above video taught me about the basics about how to use a Camera. Firstly I was introduced to many of the different types of cameras that are used in the industry, as well as by ordinary individuals just for entertainment purposes etc. I was given an idea of the price ranges of various cameras, and it's qualities and strengths. The man used a simple Handicam for the tutorial, and through this video we were able to see the effects you can create and the purposes of each button and function. I learnt about what the disadvantages of overusing certain functions and was given some important tips for example that it's better to only use the 'flash' and extra lighting functions when you need it, and not to leave it on all the time, as then all your pictures and videos will have excessive light on the background etc, and the video would be ruined. Aim to use natural lighting when just casually filming, as it gives the film a better effect, tint and color.
